उपवास कैसे करें?
- उपवास की तैयारी:
- पिछले दिन रात के खाने के बाद (7 से 8 बजे के बीच) 12 घंटे का अंतर रखें।
- इसके बाद उपवास शुरू होता है। पहले शरीर मौजूदा चीनी का उपयोग करता है, फिर आसान वसा को जलाता है।
- लगभग 6-7 घंटे बाद जब शरीर और कैंसर कोशिकाएँ 2-3 घंटे तक भूखे रहते हैं, तो वे निश्चित रूप से नष्ट हो जाती हैं।
- इसलिए शाम तक कुल उपवास रखें और फिर रात का खाना खाएं। इस दौरान केवल पानी पीना चाहिए।
- इंटरमिटेंट फास्टिंग:
- यदि आप यह नहीं कर सकते तो अगला सबसे अच्छा विकल्प दैनिक 16 घंटे का इंटरमिटेंट फास्टिंग करना है।

That’s why fasting is given a lot importance in every religion, specially so in our religion….Fasting is recommended during Navratri….
According to Hindu calendar there are 4 Navratris in a year…and 6 seasons..
Each quarterly there is a Navratri and out of 4, we follow 2 Navratri, which falls on March/April and September/October….( and the other 2 are called Gupt Navratri which the Yogis and sannyasins follow…)
That is between two major change of season…. Summer and Winter…
Normally we will see more people fall sick during this time….
And it is prescribed in our scriptures to fast during Navratri and have one meal a day…. this strengthens our immune system and our body can easily cope with the change of season and stay healthy….
It also helps in conserving energy as digesting food consumes lot of energy …
It helps in your daily sadhana ( tapas, swadhyay and Ishwarpranidhan) …. Kriya yoga…Prevention is always better than cure.

Thank youAutophagy is a now a known and proven technique to remove toxins from the body. From ages ago people all over the world have been following it in almost all cultures, but sadly had forgotten or not completely knowing its benefits. So apparently to add to this, it is said that 24 hours straight of fasting hits the reset button of the body and 36 hours also depletes the fat cells as the body starts using them to keep in action.
Fasting helps calming the nervous system and gives rest to the digestive system. In olden times our ancestors believed that we must also respect the food that we grow ( meaning-by reducing a our carbon footprint- less consumption), by fasting a couple of times a month and instead feed the needy.
There were many aspects also like this to fasting, to make it worthwhile.That was a great piece of information. Also I didn’t know about 4 Navratris.
