Most people are unaware or ignore the lateral region of the core muscles.
Anantasan helps in strengthening the lateral part – obliques of the core.
But while performing this asana, care has to be taken, to do it consciously, not with momentum, and
taking care that the hips are NOT twisted outside
and leg goes exactly up giving compression to the obliques
with moolabandh and uddiyan bandh to enhance the effect

ध्यान दें कि कूल्हे (hips) बाहर की ओर मुड़े न हों
टांग बिल्कुल ऊपर जाए जिससे ओब्लिक्स पर संपीड़न (compression) हो
मूलबन्ध और उड्डीयान बन्ध का प्रयोग करें ताकि प्रभाव और गहरा हो सके।
